Concert Hangover

Last night I went with my friend SB to see Darius Rucker & Brad Paisley in concert. They were fantastic. Our seats turned out to be amazing. I didn't realize we'd be so close. Naturally, I forgot my camera so the one time I'm actually close enough to get awesome pictures and I'm camera-less. NOT impressed. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Darius Rucker is. I really liked him when he was "Hooties and the Blowfish" and I didn't mind a few of his songs that've been on country radio lately but he was really, really good live. Props to him. HIs voice is definitely unique and I like that.

Brad Paisley did an amazing job like always. I love him. He's such a gentleman. He always puts on one heck of a show and makes a point of walking all around the stadium and plays songs where even the nosebleed seats can still see him. When he sang "Then" I teared up a little. That was mine and Mr Squish's first dance song at our wedding. He didn't go with me but I wished he had. So next concert, we're going together.

I woke up feeling pretty crappy this morning. I woke up at 9 got up, cleaned the house and by 12:30 I had to lay back down because my stomach was so upset :( Not cool, it's Girls Night Out tonight! I can't be sick! I slept until Mr Squish woke me up at 4. I had a bath and did my hair & makeup and I'm feeling better for the most part. I don't know what's hit me though. I still don't feel 100%. Hopefully whatever it is it passes quick. With my Boss away at work I can't be taking sick days. I didn't get my flu shot this year so I really really hope it's not the flu!

Mr Squish has left to go to his work Christmas party. Dinner & the Casino at Niagara Falls. I wish I could go with him I love the Falls and I definitely love the casino lol But hopefully he has fun with his work crew and misses me a little bit ;)

I'm off to girls night with my best friend Ernie (that's what I call her) and her friend D.B. Should be fun! I don't know what Ernie has planned but it usually involves Razztini's, dancing and lots of laughs. I know there's glow in the dark martini's involved so I mean, how can it not be a blast right?

Freedom, finally!

My car had been on the fritz for awhile so about a year and a half ago Mr. Squishy and I decided to take it off the road. We had planned to get it fixed but never got around to it. I’ve been car pooling with friends/coworkers so it’s not a huge inconvenience but I really miss having that 2nd vehicle. It’s made going to the gym near impossible and I can’t just pop out to the grocery store if I need something so we decided to get it on the road again. Let me tell you, I’m one happy lady. I miss driving and I miss the freedom of being able to grab the dog and go somewhere if I want to while Mr. Squishy is working.

Mr. Squishy and his Dad are working on fixing the car tonight and it should be ready to go by Saturday. I’m so excited!

Only 2 more days until I go see Brad Paisley in concert. I CANNOT wait. I’ve seen Brad once before, a year or two ago and he was fantastic. We had terrible seats as it was a last minute decision. This time my neighbour/friend went as soon as they went on sale and was able to get us great seats. They’re not floor seats (too expensive in my opinion) but we’re in the 100 section near the floor so that’s good enough for me! I never used to like country music but once I start dating Mr. Squish and it was ALL he listened to I got sucked in. Some things you just can’t fight. Though, I still listen to pretty much anything, I do admit to knowing the lyrics to some song called Honky Tonk Badonkadonk or something. It’s shameful lol I blame Mr Squish and torture him in turn by blasting Taylor Swift (whom I LOVE). He cries silently inside. I know it.

Although, I know he loves me because he bought me her newest CD for Christmas, fully knowing I would be taking over his CD player in his truck on any outing…maybe that’s why he’s getting me my car back? Hummmm…

Saturday my best friend is hosting a Girls Night while Mr. Squishy goes to his staff Christmas Party (kinda late, I know). Spouses aren’t invited (Lame!) so I’ll be going to Girls Night instead. Not sure what’s planned but I know it involves Razztini’s so I’m in. You promise me a Martini and I’ll go pretty much anywhere. Especially after this horrible work week I’m having.

Anyway, back to work. Lots to do and no desire to do it. Such is life.

And so my blogging journey begins…

I’m Mrs. Squishy. I’m 26 years old and I work as an Accounting/Office Manager for a small family owned company. We live in a medium sized city in Ontario, Canada in a tiny little house. Mr. Squishy, my husband work in sales. We met through Mr. Squishy’s university roommate and started dating on April 9th, 2006. He proposed to me on January 9th, 2007 after dating for a year and 9 months. We were married on September 19th, 2009.(9-19-9 WOOT!) We adopted our sweet fur baby, Nova, an Australian Multi-generational Labradoodle on October 9th, 2009 and have lived as a happy little family ever since. We’re hoping to expand our family soon and give Nova, our fur baby a sibling!

I really wish I knew more about HTML coding. This blog looks like crap lol I envy some of the blogs I follow. They’re so pretty and personalized. Oh well, I’ll get there one day.
So here I am. I always said I’d start a blog but never got around to it. I figured, what better time to blog then now. After a year of marriage under my belt, I feel like I have lots to talk about and the journey’s only beginning.  I’m won’t launch into this big spiel about it, you’ll just have to follow along with me.

Anyway, that’s a brief summary of who I am. Hopefully you’ll continue to follow me and share this journey with me. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS feel comfortable to leave a comment! I love them!
